The Tusky Trading Post was established to serve as an on-line working shopping cart model for the Tuscarawas (Tusky) Valley Ohio region serving Tuscarawas, Stark, Carroll, Harrison, Guernsey, Coshocton, & Holmes counties. We focus our representation of the Tuscarawas River watershed starting at Stark county and ending where the mighty Tuscarawas and the Walhonding River meet in Coshocton to form the Muskingum River. This was a major Ohio trading route during the 1700's known as the Northwest territories until the August 3rd 1795 Greenville Peace Treaty was signed that lead toward America's westward expansion and Ohio becoming a state.
The Tusky Trading Post was developed by Tuscarawas (Tusky) Valley Ohio Publisher Joe Rinehart of Bolivar Ohio who has maintained over 21 years Internet experience! A lifelong resident of Ohio, Joe has also considered himself a "quasi-public" servant having spent over 30 years in a family memorial park cemetery business and over 20 years also having established one of Ohio's early Internet service companies known as config.com, Inc.. Joe's mother resided in Bolivar Ohio since 1982 until Joe and his wife Rose purchased her home in Oct 2010 with plans on enjoying the later portion of their lives surrounded by Ohio's early history.
Our goal for this Tusky Trading Post is to serve as a working model toward developing an on-line Internet based shopping mall for the region's strong Amish businesses, local Artists and entrepreneurs. We are so committed to promoting our Tusky Valley Ohio on-line directory business, we have paid our domain 10 years in advance and partnered with ArtArmory.com and config.com that we may provide a higher quality level of services to better assure success toward promoting our local communities. Feel free to contact Joe or Rose should you have and questions!
